A linear combination of n vectors is a weighted sum of n vectors.

y=a1 x1+...+an xn

A linear combination of n ellements in a vector space is a weighted sum of n ellements in the vector space. For example the Fourier series is an example of a linear combination of sige waves. y=sum(an*exp(i*n*wo)))
