Robert Bigelow, of the Budget Hotel Suite fame, has secretly started an Aerospace firm, with the goal to make spaceflight and living in space more affordable.

Only after years of secrecy, he allowed the press to have a peek at his plant. The idea is to build inflatable spacecraft, weighting less and having a smaller size on Earth, thus significantly reducing launch-costs. Bigelow hopes in this way to build space stations affordable for general business ownership.

America's Space Prize
