Conceiving a practical calendar for Mars is quite a challenge. For example, it needs to be consider that a Martian mir is 668.5907 martian days (per vernal equinox year).
There are a number of proposed calendars for Mars, some of which are more accurate and better defined than others.
- Weitian Calendar- a great option with many new 'features'
- Darian calendar and its variants - probably the best calendar proposed for Mars
